"No problem," He smiled, "I though you would like it." He looked down at the dog. She looked so cute and happy to be out with them. "I though maybe you would like to see the beautiful person that I see." Most girls never saw there true beauty but there was no denying it in that photo of her.

She smiled gently and blushed softly looking back to the picture. It wasn't an easy feat to make Maddie blush either. There was something there that he had managed to catch. She wasn't sure what it was, but he had caught it and she could see it, she just couldn't figure out what 'it' was. "Once again for a second time you have seemed to steal away all words from my mind." She said gently smiling up at him still blushing softly.

"Is that a good thing?" He asked with a smirk. He was glad he took her breath away that was a sign of good impression. Not that he was trying to impress her. He was just being himself.

She looked at him and smile gently. "I honestly don't know. No guy has ever managed to take my breath away until now." She said gently looking to Jitterbug than back at him with those bright violet eyes. She had never been like this in her whole life. Not with a guy anyways.

"Then I am going to take that as a good thing." He smiled. It means he was doing something right. Maybe this would be more then he expected it. "You hungry?" he asked. "I know this great diner where you eat outside, and they have no objection to dogs."

She smiled sweetly and nodded. She put a hand on her stomach at the sound of food. She hadn't eaten much since lunch today. "Just a little. " She said gently looking to Jitterbug. "What do you say girl?" She asked the puppy sweetly. She giggled when the puppy yipped gently. She looked at him and smiled gently. "Sure." She said sweetly smiling at him.

He lead her to this small little cafe. It wasn't the most popular joint in town but he loved it. His mother took him here a few times and he fell in love right away. He pulled a chair out for her to sit down and took a seat himself. Someone quickly brought them there menus. She said she would be back for there orders shortly. "I just have one request." He smiled, "Order what you want. I have known people who try and order the cheapest thing and that drives me crazy so please order what you want ok."

She followed him with Jitterbug walking between them. She looked around and smiled. She nodded in thanks when he pulled a chair out for him. She tied up the leash to her chair so she wouldn't have to worry about Jitterbug running off. She looked at him from over the menu and smiled. "I'll tell you right now, you're not going to be picking up the tab everytime we go out. I hate it when guys do that." She said sweetly smiling at him. She thought it fair that she pay sometimes and then sometimes they split it. She looked at the menu hating that they didn't have any regular sweet tea. That drove her crazy she just wanted a glass of regular sweet tea and nobody up here had it. Oh well, she would just go for a mellow yellow instead.

"Alright deal." He said nodding. "I will let you pick up the tab occasionally, but only if you don't order the most cheapest thing." That way both of them would be happy. She would get what she wanted and he would be the reason she was getting what she wanted. He liked being able to do that. "So what'll it be?"

She smiled sweetly and nodded her head. "Deal." She said sweetly. She looked at the menu a mintue longer. "Cheeseburger with everything, fries as the side order and... Mellow Yellow to drink." She said closing the menu and setting it down. "Oh, and a bunless hotdog, nothing on it, for Jitterbug." She said sweetly as she looked at him.

"That sounds really good," He said smiling. He looked up at the waitress and said "I will have the same. Except I don't want any onions." He said lightly. He was allergic to onions and didn't want to have to go to the hospital. Not on the first date anyways.

She smiled sweetly and looked down at Jitterbug who was trying to stand on her hind feet to get in Maddie's lap. She chuckled and picked the puppy up placing her in her lap. She scratched her behind her big floppy ears and smiled when she let out a soft groan of delight. She smiled when she curled up in Maddie's lap and went to sleep. Maddie looked up at Mathis and smiled gently. " So, do you do anything other than photography?"She asked sweetly

"Actually, I write." He answered. "I have been writing my whole life though, it used to be my only passion. I don't do it as often anymore cause to really write you gotta have the time for it and I just don't." Writing required a lot of thought which was time consuming. Photography however was just a simple click of a button. Not that photography was that easy but to him it was less of a time hog.

She looked at him in thought. "Don't give up on writing though. I know from experience that it hurts to give up something you're so good at and you love." She said gently looking down at Jitterbug in thought as she pet the dog. "It sucks, majorly."She said gently as she thought about the one thing she had been more passionate about than painting. She used to figure skate, but ever since the wreck she had to give it up. Her knee was never going to be strong enough to take the large jumps anymore. Sometimes it seemed a part of her went down the drain with figure skating.

"I won't I promise. I just need to find time to do it." He said, he loved his daughter more then life itself but she took up most of his time and writing wasn't as important. He would start writing again when she was older. But at the age of two she still requires a lot of attention. "By the sounds of it you had to give up something you are passionate about, and if its not to much, can I ask what?"
