She giggled, "Maybe they really do think everyones that stupid." That would be awful. Leave it to an ice cream company right? The people who hadn't changed the jingle for their trucks in the past 50 years? Maybe longer. Jacquie really didn't have a clue. "I love purple." It was one of her favorite colors. She liked purple and blue. They looked especially good with white or black. It contrasted the colors. "Maybe when I grow up, I'll make a flavor, just for you thats purple colored." Jacquie smiled. "I think the size has to be bigger than your toothbrush." Jacquie looked a thoughtful for a moment there.

"That would be kind of upsetting. Who are they to decide ice cream consumers are idiots?" He laughed. "See, I'm weird about my purple. I love those things that aren't naturally purple, like purple candy. But the naturally purple stuff? Ew. Like purple cabbage, eggplant, and those purple looking onions... They've got this weird taste that really bugs me." He smiled. But purple was one of his favorite colors. Maybe some would say it was a bit feminine for a guy to like, but he didn't care. And besides that, he only considered the light, lavender purples to be feminine. But not the dark purples he liked. "Yay," he said, and smiled. "Bigger than my toothbrush..." Calypso thought for a second. "There'd be no way for that to happen accidentally. So would that mean they're worried about people actually eating toothpaste?"

[Sorry I disappeared last night. My friends stepdad took the computer for a bit.]
"Yeah. I think they'd lose a lot of customers." She nodded and watched Calypso talk with a smile. "Ew eggplants. I had a bad experience with those when I was a little girl." She got food poisoning from something her nanny made her. She didn't eat eggplants after that. Ever. Jacquie shifted again. She was just a little fidgety. It was in her nature to be like that. When she usually had a conversation, her foot would tap the ground. But, today, it wouldn't. She wanted to come off as normal as she possibly could. "Maybe, though I don't know anyone who would eat toothpaste unless they were in desperate need of off-flavored somethings."

He nodded. "Unless they think we're not only too dumb to look at the label on the box, but also to too dumb to realize that they think we're dumb.." Calypso said, then looked slightly confused, trying to figure out if it made sense. "So, basically, they think they won't lose customers because the customers won't get what's going on." He smiled. "Bad eggplant experience? I've had a bad eggplant experience.. except mine was just me being forced to try it, and realizing how icky it is. Though, supposedly, white egg plant is better. Which wouldn't surprise me, considering it isn't purple..." He laughed. "Yeah, eating toothpaste, on purpose, would be weird. But maybe little kids, if they think it would taste good.."

Jacquie rose an eyebrow before giggling. "I believe thats where you were trying to go with that sentence." She smiled and shrugged. "Yeah, My mom made something with eggplants in it and I got food poisoning. I never ate eggplants again." She shuddered thinking about it. "That might have been the worst experience in my life. I suppose it could've been worse though." Jacquie laughed some and nodded. "Thats the only thing that would convince me." She didnt remember eating toothpaste as a kid. She just wanted to brush her teeth and get it over with. Maybe that was only because her mom bought mint toothpaste and refused to get anything else.

"I think so. But I tend to confuse myself..." Calypso laughed. He was, really, usually better at confusing himself than he was at confusing anyone else. He nodded. "It could have been. What if you'd gotten food poisoning, and then you still had to eat the leftovers the next day? And got food poisoning again." He laughed again. "I never had a reason to eat it. When I was little enough, and dumb enough, they had mostly gross kinds... Mint, and bubblegum. So I'd brush my teeth as quickly as possible and usually use more water than toothpaste." He smiled, looking at her. "My parents were always shocked when, after each visit to the dentist, they were told I still had no cavities. So then I'd go brag about it to all the other kids I knew, who already had at least 4 or 5 fillings."

Jacquie laughed with him. "I know what you mean." She had the ability to do that as well. Just it was usually when she found herself having too much to do and then trying to get to all those places. Or explain something to someone. But that one was only in a language or math class."Oh my god I would have cried." Just thinking about it made her shudder again. She smiled. "Very nice. And sneaky might I add." Jacquie never had to worry about cavities. "My parents never let me have sweets growing up. So cavities never really got to me either. I brushed my teeth though." Halloween was her least favorite holiday growing up. Now she loved it. Since her parents never had a chance to yell at her, she had candy.

"Maybe if I thought things out before I said them... Oh well." He shrugged. Thinking it all out first took too much time. And besides, he was sure he'd become too cautious if he did, and end up being all boring. "Aww. Well, if you get food poisoning again anytime soon, I'll send you something to poke, so you don't have to cry." Poking was how Calypso had dealt with chickenpox. Sometimes, he'd really want to cry because it itched so much. But every time he was tempted to, he'd poke something, or someone. It helped. "No sweets? That's horrible. My parents let me have ice cream for breakfast. Do you at least get to eay sugary stuff now?"

Jacquie shrugged before giggling. "Something to poke?" She'd never heard of that. "Is it like that 'Meep' game I see on TV all that time?" Of course, she was referring to Scrubs. They'd walk up to someone and poke them on the nose and say 'Meep!'. Jacquie didn't really understand it, but it was fun to do to people she didn't quite know. She wouldn't do that to Calypso just yet though. She didn't want him to think she was weird. "Aw lucky!" She wished she could have Ice Cream for breakfast. Jacquie nodded. "Mhm. So, I guess good always triumphs over evil." She grinned.

He nodded. "Yes, something to poke. It helps if you're gonna cry... And I suppose if you say meep, that would help. 'Cause then you'd start laughing, instead." Calypso smiled. He was kind of girl, in the way the at 17 he still occasionally would feel like crying. But he'd just poke something, and usually that was enough. But the worst was when he'd actually eat, and get to crying about that. Out of guilt, or whatever it was. Then poking wasn't exactly enough. Just thinking about it made him feel pathetic. Guys his age were supposed to be done with crying and all. "Yeah, my parents were never too strict on anything.." He smiled. "Yay for good triumphing over evil!"

"Really?" She laughed some. "Thats good. Laughing always helps." Jacquie leaned forward a bit and poked Calypso on the nose. "Meep!" She smiled and sat back down. She was waiting for an odd look again. Eh, whatever right? Jacquie was a little on the emotional side. She didn't mind it all too much though. It was pretty cool. She never had to worry about bottling up emotions. So it was all good. "You're so lucky. My parents were like militant strict growing up. Eating dinner was awful." She sat up to imitate her dad. "No elbows on the table, uncross your legs, sit up straight!" She slouched a bit now. She always thought her dad was a bit of a broken record. "Yay!"

Calypso laughed, no weird look from him. He'd seen odder than someone poking his nose and saying meep. But besides that, he liked oddness. It kept things more interesting. He poked her arm. "Er.. un-meep?" He laughed again. "What kind of noise does it make when you poke an arm?" Calypso smiled, hearing her imitation of her dad. "At my house, it was more like a miracle if we were are all at home, and hungry, at the same time to have a meal together. And even then, we'd just search the kitchen for something looking edible, and all sit on the floor with our strange mix of 'meals'." He shook his head, still smiling. His mom had the habit of eating at exactly 6:00, leftover from the strict schedule her parents had. His dad, however, ate usually two small dinners anywhere from four until eleven. Calypso was the least predictable. When he actually ate, it could be as early as 3 p.m. or as late as 3 a.m.

Jacquie smiled then put her finger on her lips in thought. "I never thought of that one. Maybe its 'moop' or 'murp'." She would probably have to lookinto that one. Oh how enjoyable that would be. "Maybe I could take a survey." Jacquie grinned. "Oh wow. My family was always at 7:15. My mom had this theory that if anyone ate after 7:30 they'd gain eight pounds." Jacquie kind of rolled her eyes. Her moms logic just astounded and defied. There was no rhyme or reason to it. It was almost like reading a comic in her eyes. Random.

"Murp," he said, poking her arm again. "Moop." He poked it for a third time. "I think I prefer murp," he said with a nod. "But a survey might be necessary to come to a conclusion..." Calypso laughed. "It kind of makes sense. Because you'd have less time to burn the calories. But..." He smiled. "Eight pounds is a little extreme." Calypso shrugged. "I don't think my mom's ever worried about weight. She's tiny, like 5 feet tall and 95 pounds. My dad, too. Maybe 5'7, at the tallest. I'm the biggest." It was pretty sad, too, because Calypso was the 'tall one', although he was only 5'9, average-ish height for a guy.

Jacquie laughed when Calypso poked her arm. Ticklish much? Yep. "I think I prefer murp as well. Moop sounds funny. And it strangely reminds me of something a friends taught me. Its basically a robots way of saying 'I love you'. I think she said it was eep op orp op op." Jacquies face flushed a bit as she shrugged. "And I am most definitely taking a survey." Oh, she would. It would give her something to do. And she didn't mind being busy sometimes. "Oh wow. That is a little tiny." Jacquie was probably the shortest in her family.
