Wandering down the corridor, engulfed in the darkness of the shadows was Ruby Haart. A small girl, with dark long black looks, that were decorated with blue streaks. Dark skinny jeans covered her legs, with a leather belt, that held a large skull buckle. A gray tank top hid her slim figure. The girls bear arm shook slightly, as she reached out to open the closed door that lead to the student lounge.
Closing the door behind her she fumbled around for a light switch, the beams the light cast in helping her along the way. Grinning her innocent smile she fell down upon the comfy sofa, and pulled out her notepad. A small black book, with a large red skull on the front. In her right hand she held a pink teddy bear, one that she carried everywhere with her.
Her grandmother, the only person who had ever truely cared for Ruby, had knitted it when Ruby was a small, carefree child. Holding it reminded her of those days, the sweet scent of it brought a smile to her face. Smiling now she looked around the deserted student lounge. She camehere at night, when she couldn't sleep...
Pulling out a pen she flipped open her pad, and began to scribble down a song that she'd been thinking about all night...
I just can do this today
The awful things you say
Always puting me down
But who gave you a fucking crown?
I stay up all night alone
Just waiting for the phone
Although I know it will never ring
Why do I still treat you like a king?
I don't understand what goes through my own head
After all you've done I still don't want you dead
So fill me with false hope and blow me away
Like something that got in your way
Do you point me out when your with your friends?
Laugh at the odd look everyone sends
(In my direction)
I'm a shadow of who I used to be
When I look in the mirror I'm not who I see
Opressed, Depressed But do you care?
Stop trying to change me why can't you see
This is the way I'm supposed to be.
No I don't like pink and I don't want to dance
This was a stupid teen romance.
My clothes are unique, just like me.
You don't like that, you don't want me.
