No one would bother him here; Joseph was thinking this. Sadly, he hadn’t been here long enough to understand the concept that it was rare you had privacy. Not that it bothered the eighteen year old any. He bit his bottom lip, sitting on the ground to allow his thought process to kick in. You see, when he was alone, he’d take the time to sit back, relax, and think. He may not have been the smartest of kids, but he was smart enough to understand the fact that if you took time to think about yourself you could find out things you never knew. Such as finding the origins of what you hate or love. Why did Joseph dislike preps? After taking moments to think about this, the answer was clear. At least to him, it was. He sighed, looking around quietly to his surroundings, see all who were around him, then looked back down, falling into deep thought once again. Now we ask, what was he wearing? Simply, snake-skin cowboy boots, something he wore on a usual basis, along with black jeans that tightly held onto his thin, long legs for dear life, faded a little and torn in some spots, and frayed at the bottom. He wore a tan colored v-neck tee that was covered by a black leather jacket. As for accessories and a belt? He wore his usual accessories, but today the bandana that was tied around his knee was an electric blue color with very intricate patterns, and his belt was nothing more than a black leather belt, that simple. There was nothing special about it. So here he sat, lungs passing oxygen to and from the outside, and his brain working hard to process every thought that he had, a smile on his face as he ran a hand through his hair and swallowed hard. -- The soft padding of Ruby Haart's black ballet pumps through the entrance hall could be heard, and the mumbled sound of her voice as she spoke down the phone to her mother. Sighing loudly she wandered outside, hearing, but not really listening to her mothers ramblings about the small girls health. "But Mu...-" She began, before her mother began again. Ruby you're not well... She'd say. Ruby ran her hand back through her black and blue hair, nodding as if here mother were speaking right infront of her. Her slim frame paced the patio; not noticing Joseph. Tears filled her eyes behind her large sunglasses and her finger teased her lip piercing nervously, a single icy tear sliding down from beneath the dark veil of her eyelashes as she clicked the phone shut. It was always the same. Her parents didn't care, but by forcing her into councilling they thought she'd think they did. They'd sent her to this stupid school, full of people who thought way to much of themselves, to get rid of her. She was out of their hands, someone elses problem. Kicking the wall she winced as the pain engulfed her. Her forid softly rest against the wayy as she was consumed by her thoughts; still thinking she was alone.

Joseph frowned, having a feeling like someone was near. He closed his eyes, leaning forward a bit and allowing his thoughts to die down. They say if you 'close off' all other senses, the one you're using will be heightened greatly. So he listened quietly until he pretty much figured someone was around; in which he jumped up into a standing stance, then slipped his small thumbs into his pockets and began looking around until he spotted her. Then he began walking over casually.
That was until he figured she was sad. Should he? Shouldn't he? He pondered this thought, moving his head from one side, to the other. Well, he should. Might as well, he hadn't really spoken to anyone since his arrival. "Hey, hey, heeeeey... Something the matter?" he muttered to her, "Don't take it out on the wall, you'll chip it." he joked, looking down at her feet, "These walls are known for biting back, I've heard, in fact." he paused. "Oh.. OH! Sorry for just barging around your business like that!" he smiled, another thing he had heard--smiles are contagious. Was it true? Keeping his hand reached out, he kept that same smile on her face, "Joseph Rydell, at your service! But please, call me Rydell. Or Will. Or William. Or even Ry!" he smiled, "Now stop crying, I hate seeing women cry." he stated.

Koneko stumbled onto the patio, being chased by a popular boy.She lept onto a table and stood there, watching the boys movements. "I'm warning you....I'll smack the crap out of you if you even so much as touch me."Koneko hissed. The popular boy walked away.Koneko walked to get off the table, slipped, fell, and landed on her back,as usual. "Dang...stupid populars."Koneko said, shaking her head as she sat up. She didn't want to stand up just yet.She was busy trying to fix her scratched up knee. She watched the blood roll down her leg from the scratch. She was enjoying the blood. She looked over and saw a punk boy and a punk girl. She smiled as she finally stood up. "Hello there!"She said excited to see people of her own social group.

He listened to the noise that came from elsewhere and turned his lithe body to look to the source, smile still planted on his face. "Hey-lo!" he said, raising a hand in a gesture of waving, laughing as he sighed, then began walking towards her in that usual style of a walk he had. "You know what you do to men like that?" he said, grinning, "You... Well... I don't have anything funny... So just punch them, then be all 'STICK THAT IN YOUR JUICE BOX AND SUCK IT, MORON!'" he said, beginning to laugh. He loved that phrase. "Joseph William Rydell. Call me Will..... Or William.. Or Ry... Or Rydell, though." he held out a hand to shake, "And before you ask, I use Pantene Pro-V, 'cause it's rocking." he joked, bringing up the topic out of nowhere, acting as if his hair were mega shiny. Koneko laughed heartily. "I use Aussie...it gives my hair bounce."She said as she tossed her hair left to right. Koneko laughed at his phrase. "Wonderful...I hate most preps...some of them can be nice...but most of them are bloody dreadful."She said using her English accent she got from her heroin addict mother. She looked at Ry. "I like Ry...I think I'll use it,if you don't mind."Koneko giggled loudly.
She liked this boy...he was funny and sweet...unlike many boys she had met before.

"I just like the shine and the fact that Pantene REALLY emphasizes on my frizz. Oh, did I just admit that out loud?" he joked, then smirked, "Naw. I just use it to make my hair shine and fluff my hair up." he snickered, beginning to twirl his hair around his finger. "Preps. Yes. I don't like them. Or jocks. Or anyone popular, really. They don't seem to ponder or stuff as much as other people or groups. No offense to them. But. My parents wanted me to be all football player-y-ish. Since they were high up on the income chain. Anyways. I didn't want it. Soooo. They don't want me around. Said they wound up with a feminine, long-haired, problem-causing idiot that's thin as a rail." he shrugged, then laughed, "Doesn't bother me, though." he grinned wide.
"Ry's fine, you can use Ry." he nodded, "Anything but Joseph. I rarely allow people to call me Joseph unless it's by mistake and they don't know me. Or they know me super well and need to get my attention, I guess." he put his hands on his sides.

"So..your parents weren't proud of you either.I have a herion addict for a mother. She is a country superstar, and my dad is a Japanese-American plastic surgeon. They both told me they didn't love me as much as my foster sister. She is a popular. She goes to a different school a Girls Prepretory school.Mum did this to me."She said showing the burn scar on her arm. It was the word 'Worthless' burned into her arm.The scar was fade, but very visible. "Yeah, mum loved me a whole lot."She said as she spit on the ground beside her.

"Oh. My parents are very proud of me." he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes, "My parents wanted me to go into a private school. Which I didn't want, everything in those kinds of schools... Are... Strict.. And you can't define who you want to be. Which is against my views kind of. I don't fall into line or whatever." he sighed at the thought, how he would have turned out if he had done everything his parents wanted him to do. "Ooooh. That looks like it was painful. My parents just kicked me out of the house the day I turned eighteen, saying I could fend for myself." he smirked, "Unless I listened to what they said." he rolled his eyes, scoffing.

"Parents suck."Koneko laughed. Koneko shuffled her feet as she blushed. "Wanna go upstairs to the popular corner...they have a really comfy couch."Koneko said making sure she didn't look him in the eyes.

"The Populars corner? No, thank you. I don't really want to get into a tango with them. It's best not to. Not until I get a feel for this school. I'm not used to... Public schools or school at all. I was always. Homeschooled when I was growing up. My parents said I wasn't 'civilized' enough for school." he laughed, shrugging his shoulders, "Plus. I'm hungry right now. So I'll probably swing around here later on tonight. Most likely, to collect my thoughts, I'll see you later then." he nodded, chuckling, then sighing, "'Kay?"

Koneko looked crestfallen. "Uhm...sure."She said as she turned to leave, biting her lip to fight back the tears. Ry made her feel like she had never felt in her whole life. She never felt this strong of a strange feeling for anyone before. She didn't know if it was love or if she had just eaten some bad sushi. She had been told love made you feel weird.Like butterflies were in your stomach. That is what she felt like right now, that and blinding pain. She looked down and saw her scar was pouring blood. She looked around, not seeing any razorblades in anyone's hands, including her own. She looked up at Ry. "I'll...see you later,Ry."She said as she suddenly started to feel tears flow down her face. She turned and ran up the steps to the popular corner.
