...and who knows just what you'll find in the park, in the dark. According to a Dr. Seuss book Calypso had once read, you would find Clark, a large and very strange creature. But Calypso hardly expected to find Clark, or even something vaguely Clark-like. Not in Prospect Park, anyway. No. He was expecting, at the post, a group of teenagers around his age hanging out. And at the least, nothing. An empty park. He was hoping more for the group of teenagers... though he'd be content enough to find just one. Was he was not expecting, however, was exactly what he found... He'd walked right into some kind of party. Or almost walked into it. He could hear the music, see a large group of people. But he was still a short walk away.
Even from his distance, though, he could see it was nothing exclusive. And as he walked closer, it became even more obvious. People were ages anywhere from 14 to 20, and stereotypes ranged from the occasional nerd to the rebels. Well, this was just his kind of party..thing. Good music, a variety of people. Dancing, making out, talking... He stood, for a second, trying to figure out just who to talk to. No one had particularly caught his eye, yet, as someone interesting enough to start a conversation with. But if he didn't find someone soon, Calypso would have to resort to one of his random ways of picking someone. Because he would not let himself just stand around alone.

- .... harmony needed to distract herself. It was very, very, extremely very imortant she do so. She had recently met a kid named Jayce that proved that all of it could indeed be stopped. But of course, that was easier said than done. Harmony walked around Prospect Park, dressed in mini black shorts, red and black striped stockings that reached mid thigh in height, some black high top converse and a black shirt with a pink and red heart splattered like paint on her right side of her chest, Harmony stood out from the occasional crowd. She didn't mind standing out; she loved it. Rebelious is what Harmony stived for in her everyday life; always breaking rules, being random and well, the nicest way to describe Harmony would be only one word [all the others are, well, um.... meany type] 'different.' Of course she never minded being differnt and standing out, it was just some people judgeed people by their first impression of her, and most of the times it was good.
[/li][li] Loud music filled her ears, the ground shook with the loudness and as if with an electrical shock it sent much adrenline through her slim body. Edgeing closer to the wild party Harmony saw it was open to any and to all, anything could happen here. Smirking she went to the improvised bar guy and ordered a brisk. Though she never tried an acholic beverage she looked at a Bacardi Vodka with slight intrest. There was first time for everything , right? It tempted her and she gave in, ordering a whole bodle. Taking it to the outskirts of the party she opened it and took a mouth filling drink.... [/li][li] 'ahey' she spit teh whole mouth full out, not noticing that she had spit the acholic mess near the shoes of a boy that stood alone. Still clutching the bottle with nervous hands she thanked God she missed his shoes, she missed in in general , but was inches away from hitting him. I'm so sorry! Harmony was... alittle. But who told him to lurk in the dark? That was her job. [/li][/ul]

Calypso blinked. Just when had this girl appeared...? Before he could even think of saying something, he was distracted by her outfit. Black shorts with striped, mid-thigh stockings? He smiled. Just how had he managed not to notice her before? It wasn't like she'd blend in with the rest of the people. Far from it. Which would make her exactly the type he'd want to talk to. The ones looking just like everyone else bored him. If a person was boring to look at, what would make them any more interesting to talk to? And maybe that was kind of judgmental, basing too much on appearances alone. But he'd found it to be true so often that he basically considered it a fact now.
Calypso him self stood out more with his makeup than anything else. And honestly, the fact that he wore it at all was enough to make him seem different in most crowds. But he couldn't just leave it simply at eyeliner. No, he had to turn it into a kind of art. And the truth was, he ended up wearing more eyeliner and eyeshadow and all that than most girls did. But it was his thing, and it actually looked pretty good on him.
"Oh... umm, that's okay," he said, finally remembering to say something. "None of it got on me." He looked down on the ground a few inches away, where what she'd spit out ended up. "Is it not what you were expecting?" he asked her, curious, head tilted slightly to the left. He had then tendency to do that when asking questions, or when anything confused him. He wasn't sure why.

She smiled a little, even if it was a one sided lopsided smile. She was about to rub her eye when she remembered she had a thick line of black eyeliner on, and took her hand away. Gray blue eyes studied this guy, he seemed different than the rest, like punk or emo or something of those sorts. She pushed the thoughts away; Harmony never labeled people, except the so called Populars she shuddered at the thought. Those people really disgusted her, and that was why she kept away from them, and they had many reasons to keep away from her. She smirked, rememering a time she had freaked her roommate Taylor back in freshman years. Ya, that had bean hilarious, Taylor though Harmony would just pop out with a knife and stab her, just beacuse Harmony used to cut herself. Lifting her arm that held the Vodka bottle Harmony looked at the black with flowers stamped on them cloth that Jayce had wrapped around her wrist to stop the bleading. She wondered if he expected her to give it back.... mabey yea. She studied this kid over again, he wore eyeliner and eyeshadow and he didn't look bad at all with it. Hmm, gues it works for some people best. she muttered softly to herself. Then when he spoke she met his eyes, with her peircing gaze. Thats good then. She bit her lip, wondering wheather to introduce herself when he spoke up again. Oh, yea it was I guess, I haven't drunk anything since I was sent to a rehab place when I was in seventh grade. I forgot how strong it was. True Harmony had taken some sips when she was younger and she regretted it dearly, promising herself she would never drink again... but she needed something to make the urge go away; she didn't want to slit again. Remebering to be nice [pshyaright] She stuck out her hand and said in a low voice By the way I'm Harmony.

Koneko walked into the party, dressed in the usual.A brightly colored t-shirt,black with the superman symbol, over a blue fishnet undershirt, carelessly thrown together with a pair of blue and black girlie-style Tripps, and a pair of bright blue higheels.
Koneko's tattoos shown through the fishnets, making them look even more unusual that they really were.Koneko's bright blue eyelinered eyes caught sight of a emo girl and a punkrocker boy.
"Perfect."She said with a purr.
She walked over to the boy,her hips swinging in a rythmic motion. She stopped short of the two and flashed a fanged, yes fanged, smile.
"Hello."She said loudly enough that they could hear over the music.
She stepped wrong as she moved to get around the girl, falling to the ground and landing smack dab on a popular sharks lap. She lept up before getting yelled at and looked around embarrased.

Calypso ran a hand through his hair, kind of nervously, as the girl - Harmony - seemed to be looking him over. It was just about the worst part of meeting a new person, for him. He would have to just stand and wait, while someone else seemed to be judging him, deciding who he was or how he was based on how he looked. But he did the same to anyone else, so he couldn't complain. And after what seemed like forever, she spoke again. "Rehab, in 7th grade?" he asked, curious. When he was in 7th grade, sure, he'd had some alcohol. But never a lot... It wasn't a big deal to him, because it wasn't a big deal to his parents. Things were rarely forbidden to him, which was actually a very smart move by his parents. If he hadn't been allowed to drink, then he would have done it, and would have done it a lot more often, just to rebel. "Harmony?" He smiled. Calypso liked her name. It wasn't one of those average, boring ones. "I'm Calypso."
He heard a voice saying hello, maybe to him, and so he turned around... right in time to see a girl (most likely one of the punkrockers, if he were to judge by appearances) fall right into the lap of one of the popular kids. And he would have offered to help her up except, well, she was up on her own inless than a second. "Are you alright?" he asked her.

Koneko blushed. "Yeah...I'm fine.I just can't walk very good on heels."She let a laugh escape her for a mere moment. She smiled as she heard both of their names. "Calypso and Harmony...wonderful names. Both very uique. My name is Koneko...Koneko VonDee."She said warmly.

Harmony took her blue gray gaze away from Calypso and looked at the new girl that had arrived. She watched for the 'popular's' reaction and heard the boyed named Calypso question her.Yea, rehab in seventh grade. But it wasn't for drinking; it was for something else, I never really liked achohol, I just drink when I need a distraction That was the truth, the whole truth, the unvanquished truth as Harmony had read in a book once. Calypso, I like that name, it sounds different Turning her attention once more at the girl that fell she wondered wheather she would accept help , but she had gotten herself up. Harmony smiled when she said she wasn't good with heals; a reason Harmony never wore was because you couldn't tackle, run or walk fast in them, and thats what Harmony did alot of times, sometimes to people she didn't know. Nodding at Koneko she grinned I like Koneko too, is it english? Harmony didn't think so, neither did Calypso seemed American, one more reason she liked it; both were unique.

"Oh, okay," he said, nodding a little as he heard what Harmony had to say about rehab. He looked at the girl who'd introduced herself as Koneko, and smiled. "Thanks," he said, in reply to both of the girls' compliments on his name. "And well, you both have awesome names. Not the boring, common ones." There was nothing he hated more than the names that everyone seemed to have. After all, a name was a big part of a person's identity, and who would want to share their identity? He laughed, hearing Koneko's comment about walking on heels. Yes, it was one thing he didn't quite get about those shoes. Why would someone invent some so impossibly hard to walk in?

"No it is Japanese for Kitty. Most of my friends call me Ninja Koneko.Goodness...I can't stand these shoes much longer."Koneko said as she pulled off the heels and tossed them in the middle of a bunch of popular girls.
Koneko did a few ninja poses and kicked over a small unplanted tree. "HiYa!"She said as she knocked the tree over. She laughed as she pulled off her backpack. She pulled out a pair of black and purple HIM edition etnies. She put them on and dusted off her skirt. She watched as two cats got into a fight. "I think the black one will win."She said pointing to the wild tom.
